Experience Overview
Looking for a countryside summer adventure allowing you to switch off and leave energised and inspired? Come join the farm animals and team to run the stunning trails throughout the forest and rolling hills of Bretagne, France.
Through movement, we will explore and learn about the beautiful lands of the region. We will run, jog, dance and walk the trails through the forest and practice yoga in the generations-old barn, balancing out our day.
This trip is for all levels of experience, running along the trails is merely the method of exploration and not a chance to set a new Personal Best. Our run guides, Maxime and George, will ensure no one runs alone and most of all have fun.
This years summer editions will include:
Traditional storytelling night, by an award-winning ‘conteur’ William Landin
Daily Trail Runs between 5-12km at everyone’s pace
Yoga in the old wood workshop barn, guided by Lucy Crock
Galette cooking workshop (local dish)
Silent forest night walk
Farm tour
History & sustainability exploration at the farm
Creative writing workshop

About the location
Brittany is a diverse region in northwestern France and a historic country with a distinct cultural identity, known for its own ‘Breton’ dialect, traditional dances and local cuisine. At its heart is the beautiful forest of Broceliande, which offers incredible walks and has been steeped in Arthurian mythology for many centuries. Most notably, it is host to the tomb of the legendary figure of Merlin, but also links to the Lady of the Lake and the Knights of the Round Table.
For this adventure, we will gather at Saint-Jean, founded in the 1200s by the Templars and passed through many hands and generations since.

About your hosts
George Bauer - Sundays
George, a Melbourne raised runner, currently lives in the Highlands of Scotland, fulfilling a dream to explore single track, mountainous trails from his doorstep.
His inspiration comes from the vast and varied people within the wider nature-led community and the experiences that running as a form of movement has brought to his life. He is training as a mountain guide alongside leading his business, Sundays.
Sundays is a production house focused on creating community through exploring the exciting ways in which we can exercise the body and mind in a group setting.
Anouk Dijkman - La Grange
Anouk is based in London where she is a sustainability practitioner specialised in sustainable food systems, while in parallel undertaking an MSc in Agroecology, Water and Food Resilience. She frequently escapes to Saint-Jean, away from the city hustle and bustle, on an ongoing quest to combine her professional and academic interests with the urge to spend time outside in the fields. Having grown up on Saint-Jean, Anouk has been working with family and friends on opening-up the farm to share the wonderful place it is. Her favourite moments at the farm are spent by the fireplace, holding a cold glass of cider with one hand while petting the dogs with the other.
William Landin
Lucy Madeleine Crock
William Landin, 2022 winner of the prestigious Bogue d'or competition in Redon and speaker of Breton and Gallo (the two other languages of Brittany), will join us for an evening of traditional storytelling. Will likes to combine stories with regional songs, telling the dreams of our elders and feeding ours to come. Set by the fireplace in the attic of our old barn, his contribution to the programme will offer a unique way of exploring local heritage and reconnect with your own stories from home.
From a young age, Lucy was drawn to all things physical - anything and everything from circus training to springboard diving and eventually stumbling upon yoga almost 10 years ago. She strives to make yoga accessible and above all, fun for everyone no matter the level, age or background, which she is currently pursuing in Paris through her initiative Paris Yoga Club.
Lucy, who grew up in a very similar home, has been coming to Saint-Jean for the past couple of years. For her, it is a little escape from Paris back to open space and nature
